Une fois de plus, à la lecture des réactions au discours du président iranien, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, une petite voix m'a mise en garde.</p> <p class="spip">Vilipendé pour avoir accusé Israël de racisme, le président iranien a soulevé la tôlé générale parmi les ambassadeurs des États membres de l'Union européenne, qui ont quitté la salle. Quelques minutes plus tôt, trois militants de l'Union des étudiants juifs de France, déguisés en clowns, avaient apostrophé le président avant d'être évacués par le service de sécurité des Nations Unies. Selon la Haute-Commissaire de l'ONU pour les droits de l'homme, Madame Navanethem Pillay, « le discours du président iranien n'avait rien à voir avec le fond de la conférence et il ne devrait donc également en rien compromettre son résultat ». Je me suis empressée de lire le discours de Mahmoud Ahamdinejad. En dépit du langage « religieux » (qui selon moi, n'a pas sa place dans une conférence internationale, mais que je peux comprendre étant donné la position de l'Iran depuis la révolution de février 1979, qui s'affirme comme République islamique d'Iran), l'argumentation est plutôt cohérente. Le président iranien s'attaque aux réels problèmes, faisant fi de tout discours diplomatique.</p> <p class="spip">Le droit de veto : instauré pour protéger les intérêts des membres fondateurs des Nations Unies, sortis victorieux de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, accorde aux cinq membres permanents du Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies un droit qui leur permet d'empêcher toute résolution, et ce, même si la majorité des membres vote en faveur de cette résolution. Plutôt arbitraire… D'abord par le fait que cinq membres se sont octroyé une voix. Il s'agit d'un privilège accordé, en 1945, aux vainqueurs. Mahmoud Ahamdinejad parle d'autoattribution de pouvoir, qui perdure contre toute logique. En effet, comment quelques puissances peuvent-elles s'arroger le pouvoir de prendre toutes les décisions en matière de défense de la paix et de la justice internationale ? Le Conseil de sécurité et la justice internationale sont devenus le terrain de jeux de puissances dominatrices qui régentent le monde dans leurs seuls intérêts. Les tribunaux internationaux sont une mascarade, il suffit de suivre les procès du TPIY et du TPIR où des coupables sont acquittés et des innocents condamnés.</p> <p class="spip">La création de l'État d'Israël en 1948 : pourquoi créer un État juif dans une région foncièrement hostile ? La réponse est simple : pour les intérêts britanniques et des autres pays occidentaux, sur décision des Nations unies, dont la résolution 181 du 29 novembre 1947 partage la Palestine en un État juif et en un État arabe. Aujourd'hui, Israël sert de vigile en territoire arabe. En tant qu'allié de la Grande-Bretagne et des États-Unis, il permet de maintenir la présence occidentale, mais aussi de justifier des attaques. La rivalité réelle entre Israël et l'Iran sert les États-Unis, qui ont fait de la république d'Israël leur chien de garde au Moyen-Orient.</p> <p class="spip">Diviser pour mieux régner : En créant Israël en 1948, puis en reconnaissant le Kosovo en 2008, les Nations Unies visaient le même but. Nous avons dans les deux cas un État haï par ses voisins. Israël comme le Kosovo bénéficient du soutien des grandes puissances occidentales et, en tant que victimes, ils s'attirent la compassion.</p> <p class="spip">Le « sionisme » incarne un racisme... En prononçant ces paroles, Mahmoud Ahamdinejad a suscité un tollé et les membres de la délégation européenne ont manifesté leur indignation en quittant la salle. Pourtant, au fil des années, et il n'y a pas encore longtemps, dans la Bande de Gaza, il semblerait qu'Israël ait pris des positions et commis des actes hostiles à des groupes ethniques, les Palestiniens, ce qui entre dans la définition du racisme. Il semble donc, une fois de plus, que les mots et les actes n'ont pas la même signification et la même importance selon qui les prononce ou les commet. Élevée par une juive polonaise, j'ai passé une grande partie de mon enfance et toute mon adolescence en Iran. Je ne suis ni antisémite ni sioniste. Et je ne suis pas non plus anti ou pro iranienne.</p> <p class="spip">Aujourd'hui, Barak Obama demande à Israël de signer le Traité de non-prolifération nucléaire (TNP). Une demande logique, mais qui a fait frémir l'État hébreu, jusque-là intouchable. En effet, pourquoi interdire à l'un, l'Iran, ce que l'on permet à l'autre, Israël. Peut-on croire à une sincère volonté d'équilibre et de justice de la part des États-Unis ? Ou s'agit-il seulement d'une réorientation de la politique américaine visant à mieux se positionner sur l'échiquier géopolitique ? Après deux mandats de George W. Bush, les États-Unis ont besoin de se refaire des alliés et une réputation qui les servira mieux. Quoi qu'il en soit, la demande du président américain ne peut que remettre les pendules à l'heure en rappelant à Israël qu'il ne peut se soustraire à l'obligation d'œuvrer pour l'équilibre et un semblant de paix dans un monde chaotique.
